TO ELECTRO-FREEZE
OWNERS
Up until Carpigiani Corporation of
Bologna, Italy took over Electro-Freeze in 2003, Emery
Thompson was the sole manufacturer of the Electro-Freeze
line of batch freezers. With this takeover 6 years ago
we no longer build the Electro-Freeze batch freezers.
If you
purchased a batch freezer from Electro-Freeze any time
during the past 23 years, it was manufactured at Emery
Thompson’s factory but to Electro-Freeze’s
specifications and standards.
The FT-1
and FT-2 Electro-Freeze machines were built by us for
Electro-Freeze. However, it cannot be said that they are
Emery Thompson batch freezers. The Electro-Freeze
machines were built to their specifications using
condensing units and motors that were manufactured in
Mexico. Emery Thompson uses only Copeland Corporation
Condensing Units made in Sidney, Ohio. Emery Thompson
feels strongly that American manufacturers need to
support other Made In The U.S.A. manufacturers. Emery
Thompson batch freezers are 100% Made In The U.S.A. .
We do
not recommend your purchasing someone else’s used
machinery. Like a used car, you don’t know how it was
handled or maintained. A used machine does not come with
any kind or warranty, training or factory support. Just
like buying a used car, it may look good on the outside,
but you don’t know anything about how it was treated!
You certainly wouldn’t buy a used car without driving it
and then having it checked out by a qualified
mechanic. Would you buy a used batch freezer from a
photograph on e-Bay and with some stranger’s word that
“it’s in great shape?” Of course not! Your batch freezer
is the very core of your business operations. It doesn’t
make good business sense to gamble your $200,000.00
business on an old, used, $6,ooo.oo bargain!
If you
do choose to purchase a used machine, Emery Thompson
will do our very best to help you obtain the parts you
might need.
